Odds and Ends

DSC01630These are some of the pictures taken over the entire Christmas holiday. Here we are showing you how calm we can be when there is company. Typical dad on computer, Tat-Chan and Yasuko laughing and talking in Japanese. At least that is what mom said it was. We just couldn’t understand any thing they said sometime.

DSC01632Happy, happy.

DSC01634This is our boy. Okay, maybe he looks like a man to you, but to us, he is our boy. He’s is pretending to be paying attention, when what he really wanted to do was play with us.  Good old Hugh Scott, always willing to let us kiss him.

DSC01635Maria (aka Aunt Ria) and Len. Best friend, cousins all their lives. Still love being together.

DSC01640This is a part of the spread on Christmas Eve. Dad seemed to have grown some major ears.

DSC01641Some family showing up for the chow. Oh yeah, by the way, we got NONE of it.

DSC01643They all got around one table,  that seemed to be a worry for mom and aunt Ria. Us, we just laid under it.

DSC01644This is Nelson, now that was love at first sight-- both ways. He wanted to take us home, Mom told him noooooooooooooo way. We have to admit, we loved him a lot. Especially me (Quig) he smelled so wonderful and had the softest, sweetest face. Mom said, his poppa is the dearest, loveliest man. She likes squiggling his face like she does mine. So I figure he is someone special for sure.

DSC01646This is Doug, mom has loved him all his life she said. As you can see, anytime one of us walked by any of them, we got a pat. What a wonderful time we all had. We loved every minute, every person, every thought. Memories, that is what we made. Beautiful, wonderful, memories….

May all your time this holiday season, be cherished memories too.

Loving our lives, and all of you,

Quigley and Annie

Story time on Christmas day.

The joys of Christmas, not just for us, but for mom and dad and Aunt Ria , H and  Yasuko. We loved having family here for so many days. Our dad's the best, he makes us so happy.........

Christmas morning………………

DSC01647Did you know that when they talk about Santa, he brings gifts? Oh boy what a morning we had. Actually what a  few days we had. Aunt Maria and H and Yasuko came on Sunday. Oh boy. mom said we were going to love our boy, and she was so right.

DSC01648And Yasuko, what a treat she was. At first she was afraid of us. But it didn’t last very long. Pretty soon she was telling us that she loved us. And the feeling was mutual.

DSC01649So then it was Christmas Eve, and we had lots and lots of new people to smell. They all smelled really good and were really pretty. Dad took lots of picture’s, but mom couldn’t find them, so those will come along later.Even big Doc came. Oh man were we happy to see him. It’s been along time, he didn’t bring the pugs or the girls and that made us a little sad, but he promised to come back soon with them.

DSC01650Anyway, it seems many years ago, something holy and wonderful happened on Christmas. Mom said a baby was born who would eventually save us all. We want to thank Him for that, having been saved ourselves earlier this year, we know how wonderful that is.

DSC01651So in honor of that gift from God, we now exchange gifts on his birthday. And as you can see, we caught on fast.

DSC01652This is one of the new gifts we got, It squeaks and is bright and actually is still in one piece.

DSC01653I had to make sure it worked correctly, cause if it didn’t mom would have had to return it. But it was a keeper.

DSC01654Annie was really good at opening her gifts too, if she could have she would have opened mine as well, Mom wouldn’t let her though.

We hope all of you were with the people you love. And that Santa made you as happy as he made us. And we’d like to thank God for the gift of his Son.

It is a wonderful time of the year, and we are a couple of blessed pups.

We love you all,

Annie and Quigley

Just a quick little note

DSC01638Merry Christmas----------------------We have been having so much fun. So many people visiting and laughing. At this point on Christmas eve, we were pretty tired, but we’re rested up this morning and getting ready for another fun day. We promise lots of pictures and stories soon.

But for today, we are wishing you a most Glorious and Blessed Christmas.

We love all of you and have officially been declared “ THE BEST DOGS EVER”

It’s official I LOVE SNOW

DSC01622It started early this morning. White stuff, falling lightly. I wasn’t too sure just what it was. I checked with mom, but she said “it’s just snow”

DSC01623I wasn’t sure what just snow was, and I felt the whole thing needed more investigation. So I sat and watched with quite the wary eye. I really wasn’t sure she new what she was talking about.

DSC01625But after a short blizzard,( that is a BIG snow storm,) coming down like crazy, blowing all around. I got to get up close and personal. And I have to say, I LOVE IT.

DSC01626I know it’s cold, and wet, but boy or boy……it is so much fun. I laid in it, jumped and rolled in it.

DSC01627I checked out just what dad was doing in it, moving it around, like that.  I hate shovels, they take some of my new favorite thing away.

DSC01628

DSC01629Brub likes it too, he ran and ran and ran. This is better that a bath any day and we get the same effect. Woo hoo, what a wonderful thing this Snow stuff is……..

Wishing you a white Christmas

Love, Annie and Quigley, the newest snow bunnies………

Who is that guy?????

photo (199)Now granted, mom looks a little younger here, but she has some splanin to do. Who is that white dog? He looks awfully cozy if you ask us. Doesn’t he know that is our mom?

Mom tried to talk us down. She said his name was Spoon and he was her baby long before we were born. But we’re thinking she looks like she loves him a lot. And honestly, he looks a lot calmer that we ever do, when she hugs us. She told us, that if it weren’t for the dogs before us, she may not have had room in her heart for us. That, Spoonie was a sweet and wonderful boy, and that yes, she did love him very much and still misses him, but we helped the loneliness she felt when he crossed the bridge. So I guess, it’s okay.

We’re going to try and fill her life and heart up so much, she won’t want any dogs other than us.

Hug someone you love, we do…..

We’re finding out what Christmas means

DSC01615Miss Sandy came to visit yesterday. And she had lots of stuff in her arms. Mom said they were presents and she shouldn’t have. But we’re not so sure.

DSC01616Besides pup-per-oni’s she brought us these. Our very own blankets with our names on them. Mom made us promise not to destroy them. Then went a step farther and put them on our couch’s so that we couldn’t use them to play tug of war.

DSC01617As you can see,WE LOVE THEM. And we love Miss Sandy too. She didn’t care that we jumped on her, or nuzzled her, or kissed her face and neck and everything. She’s the best. So Miss Sandy, when you read this, (and she will, cause she likes to visit us every day) A great big THANK YOU. We know you shouldn’t have done it, but we are sooooooooooooooo glad you did,

Bless you and the Merriest Christmas,

With all our love,

Annie and Quigley and mom and dad

So happy together

DSC01604Well here we are in our down time. Stuff is going on upstairs in the bathroom. Dad is making a lot of noise banging things around. Mom said he is redecorating.  Again, they throw words around like we know what they mean. All I know is, he’s noisy.

DSC01605We have to run up and down the stairs a million times, making sure he’s okay.So every once in awhile, we just have to stop and veg.

DSC01606We hate to admit it, but we sooooooooooo love each other and laying close is comfy and cozy. An added plus, it makes mom smile. And I think if we expect Santa to come, we’re suppose to do that more often.

Have a comfy and cozy day,

We love you,

Quigley and Annie

Santa, really, I can explain

DSC01608Busted again…………..I can’t seem to help myself, so here it is,I accept it. I am an addict. I just can’t resist soles of shoes and boots and as you can see slippers. They correct me, they beg me, they even raise their voices (how dare they?) But I just can’t stop. I hear there are 12 step programs around. Wondering if there is one for dogs who love leather?

DSC01609But Santa, as you can see, I get really sorry. It’s always a mistake, a loss of consciousness . A small moment of not knowing right from wrong. Please don’t let them send me away.

For Christmas, all I want is to stay where I am, with my mom and dad, whom I love with my whole heart. I can’t help I love chewing shoes too.

They just never seem to learn to not leave them where I can smell them. Hey—I think that means I’m innocent. They can’t send me away, there’s not a jury in the nation who would find me guilty.

WHOO HOO I’m safe, I’m gonna have a merry Christmas after all.

A very happy Annie, wishing you the Merriest of Christmas’s. I have a feeling you’ll be hearing that a few more times, as Christmas is a week away……

Our dad’s an artist

DSC01572We may be really cute. Okay we are really cute, but this one is about dad.

DSC01573

He is an artist. He’s really good isn’t he? Maybe he’ll do one of us.

Now that’s what we’d call a work of art…..

Our dad’s a clown sometime

DSC01571Mostly he’s a prince. Mom says he act’s a fool sometime because he loves us so much.

DSC01591Anyway, here I am, just taking a little nap on the man’s couch when all heck broke out. Sissy was a little bored, she gets that way a lot. I have calmed down in the time we have been here, but not Annie. She still has as much energy as she did the day we walked into our forever home.

So because of that, dad has to keep thinking up new toys to make for us. I have to be honest, we are really hard on toys. They last about 5 minutes after they bring them into the house.

DSC01592So dad has started re-braiding old ones. We like his better because they are braided tighter and we can really play hard with them.

DSC01593I got a little interested at one point, but me being so big, they discourage me jumping or sitting on anyone. I am not sure why, since I do it with big love too.

DSC01596Dad looks scared here, but like I said sometime he just like's to act a fool.

DSC01597This is the real way he looks at us, with lots of love and concern. All we have to do is look a little (what they call mushy, mush) and he gets all worried. I slipped on the stairs the other day, and they went out and ordered runners to carpet the steps.

DSC01598As you can see, we’ve got it made.

We hope you have someone who will braid something for you, whether it be your hair or your toys. And that someone you love, knows how to act a fool to make you smile. Maybe we could be that for you.

I try to do this when they are not around

DSC01601Okay so she caught me. Doing this blog takes a lot of time and effort for a dog of my size. So I try to do it when no one is around, so that I can think.

Here I sat, getting ready to start my writings and in she walks.  Of course she thinks it is cute and has to get the camera out.

DSC01602I don’t know what she was thinking, now my concentration is shot. And I seem to have forgotten just what it was I wanted to share with all of you today. So this time it’s not mine or Quigley’s fault, it’s mom’s.

Forgive her, she tries so hard to be good, but sometime, it’s just too hard and we are just too cute.

Have a happy evening. Do something creative. Heaven knows I tried.

Love, Annie

We haven't gone away.

I know, I know, it's been a few days since we checked in. Well, it seems mom let the battery in the camera die and she hates for us to write without a new picture for all of you to see.  Yesterday we tried to take a movie of me dragging Quigley around with a piece of rag. It was so cute, for a big guy I sure can manipulate him. Dad thinks he is just being nice, but I am not so sure. I think I am just the fiercest of all little dogs, strong and brave.
Anyway, the battery is charging and we will be back with you in person hopefully today. It's gotten really cold here, but it is December and mom said that is normal.
Hope you are warm and safe, either in you home or yard.

Love, Annie with no face

We can fit anywhere---

DSC01568As long as we’re together. This is the little couch. The one mom always sits on. So of course it smells like her, and because of that, when she’s not around, we love to sit there.

DSC01569Usually  just one of us is on this couch, but tonight, we decided to take a chance and go for it, see if anyone would notice that we both were up there at the same time.

DSC01570To bad mom didn’t come down, there was plenty of room for her, and we would have loved sharing her couch with her.

Cuddle up to someone you love, remember, there is plenty of room.
