She Came, She Saw, She Loved

We must be a couple of magicians, when Aunt Ria, came, she fell under our spell, and it was love. I gotta tell you she reminds me a lot of Annie, she's tiny and pretty and really strong. It must run in the family, I must take after dad's side. Any way, we did as mom wished and behaved as well as any 10 month old pup's can behave. We fawned over her, licked her as much as anyone would let us, and followed her around, so she wouldn't get away. She and mom went in and out a couple of time's, but we got stuff both time's so it was okay, and dad even got home a little early so that helped. I heard her say, she thought I loved her the best, because I was needier , (again, not a word I care to admit too), but mom thinks it's because I'm Willy re- in -car- nated,( it's that word again,) and I remember how much we loved each other before. Where poor Annie, is learning from the beginning. I don't know who is right, or care, I just know I love her. But I also know Annie love's her too, she looks at her real goofy like. I think she's going back to her house this morning and that makes us sad, but mom say's she will come back again, and one day bring our boy with her. I don't know what our boy is, but mom's never been wrong yet, so I am looking forward to it.
All in all, I think it was a great success, love flowed all around. We all ate good food, theirs different from ours, smiles were given, memories made. That's what day's are meant to be, WONDERFUL.

It's me Quigley, talking for both of us,
XOXOXO

Just a note

DSC00293Mom is in a thither today. Someone special is coming and she said we have to be on our best behavior. As if we ever are not .Anyway, there is this person called Aunt Ria, and mom say’s she already loves us, so we better not blow it. Mom is going  crazy cleaning too, she said we make stuff dirty, can you believe it?  So this note is going to be short, like mom…… I made a joke, ha, ha, ha.. I am sure more later, with pictures of the till now elusive, Aunt Ria.

Then our 300 lb dog hits the ground.

As you have seen and have been told many time's, Annie is minute.( I mean really tiny, small, of little substance, not 60 of them make an hour, this English language is really confusing)  Anyway she is a really small boned, light framed little girl. Well let me tell you about our little girl. She has the heart of a moose. She has run at me and toppled me with what felt like 50 miles of power. And when she has a toy, and wants to lay down it is like a bull mastiff  has hit the floor. You can hear the thump all the way to the third floor. I can't believe she hasn't hurt herself. How such a little bit of a thing can run with such force, such strength, is beyond me. Mom says it's because she is REALLY a DeCarlo women.
She smiled and said any of you reading this who is a DeCarlo woman, or loves a DeCarlo woman, or just wants to be a DeCarlo woman, will understand.

It's all Greek to me, but I Quigley admit today that I really do love DeCarlo women.  All of them.......

Dogs with really special gifts…That’s not us.

DSC00359First of all these are the pictures of us coming home from Jumonville yesterday. We really had a wonderful time, Annie took a swim, I sniffed my way through field and stream. Oh the joys of Uniontown’s mountains.DSC00358

But the real story today is by Annie, so here she is. ‘

I heard a story about a wonder dog, This dog helped a little girl with diabetes, he could sense when her sugar was getting either low or high and would alert her parents. Wow, it was wonderful. So I was wondering what I might be able to do for my people that might make a difference in their lives. I am  pretty, but no wonder dog here. But I think I may have come up with something last night. Mom was sleeping really well, because the air was on and the bedroom was nice and cool. Dad was in bed, so was Quigley, and as usual I was on my couch. It gives me time to think, and I thought I got a sense of something. I know how mom hates to get up in the night  to go to the bathroom, but I thought she might need to go and didn’t realize it. So I immediately sprang into action. I ran and jumped on the bed, licked her about a hundred times, and then to make sure she knew what she had to do, I jumped on her stomach. It was then that I heard her say, “Oh geez, now I have to go to the bathroom. “ Success was obtained, Quig did try to stop her, but she bullied through, and in the end felt much better.  I may have found a job.

Stay safe this memorial day, and thanks to all our veterans.

Love, Annie and Quigley

a quick swim

I've been watching.

I noticed something about mom, she likes color, not only in her clothes, but on her face. She sometimes lets me go up into our room when she is getting ready for work. She puts on a little light , looks into a mirror, and puts stuff on her face. So last night while everyone was sleeping, I decided to investigate. And low and behold, I found some little containers with colors in them. Mom wasn't awake enough for me to give them to her, so I figured maybe I could open one and check it out myself. But she was awake enough to hear my work in progress, to make dad get up and see what I was doing. It was just a little container of eye shadow, I didn't hurt it, (they just didn't give me enough time) so I just don't know what the big deal is, do you?
She maybe right though, I am pretty enough to not need any enhancement.
We are going to Jumonville again today, so maybe more later.
Have a happy Memorial Day Weekend
Love, Annie

I was wondering, do you think this is my best side?????

So yesterday, It was an epiphany

Sometime I just don’t understand. I want to do what they want, I want to make them happy, but honestly—sometime-- I just don’t understand. But yesterday, when grammy Sally was here, mom had an idea. And as much as I hate to admit it, it was a great one.
We all know how much I have avoided the leash, but mom really wanted me to not jump on grammy. No one understands ! Oh my she smells so sweet, and she smiles at me and tells me how much she loves me. It was just too much . I jumped, not hard, I didn’t hurt her, but it made mom sad, so she got out my leash. When I saw it, I started to rethink my actions. I started to calm down. Mom put it on me and all of a sudden, I GOT IT. Not only will they take me FUN place’s  with this leash thing, but it make’s me feel under control, maybe even safe.
So now when they want this look---

DSC00327

keeping a leash close, is all they have to do. We are all so much happier. And that is all any one ever wanted.

That’s one small step for man, and a giant leap for dog kind.
I love you all, Quigley.

Cammie girl

DSC00324Mom wanted to show you the very last toy we had that was in one piece, but she said she just can’t find the toy in the picture. Lucky for me, because it no longer is in one piece.  Actually she said she can’t find me, because I am a camouflage girl. I am not to sure what that mean’s but it has something to do with the fact that they can never see me. I blend into all of the stuff they have. I am beginning to get a complex, all I ever hear is, where’s Annie?  I know I am small, petite, adorable, but invisible too? What good are all the other things, if no one can see me. They also say I am so light that when I jump on them they can’t even feel it, how can I make an impression if all that is true.
I am going to have to come up with something new and interesting soon, or Quigley will have to write all the upcoming news.
Don’t worry, I’m smart, I’ll come up with something.
Happy day, mom’s home all day, Grammy Sally is coming and the sun is out.
You have one too.
Love, Annie

Okay let’s talk

DSC00311Dad and Quigley got together last night and decided to fool you into thinking that Quigley is this Wonder dog. Oh yeah, I'll give him, he is one handsome guy. But that picture made him look calm and assertive. HA!!!!!!!
He is a wild man, gets this look on his face somewhere between, a smile and a smile by Jack Nicholson in the Shinning. He thinks it's absolutely charming, I think it's strange.

I on the other hand, am sweet and gentle. I am so light that when I jump on you, you can barely feel it. (Did I just admit that I jump?) I have finally found my voice as mom  says, and I think it has a melodic tone to it, a little high pitched, for some, but what do they know. I can now let people know that this is MY yard, MY house, MY people. It feels kind of good too.

Dad and Quig, forgot to tell you that when mom brought home that "piece of grass thing" she also brought us these really nice, bandanna's, That say "I'm a happy rescue dog". We can only wear them when we go out as they are for dress up, and she thinks we will destroy  them. Sometimes I think she has no faith in us. Anyway since we are happy rescue dogs, I think we will wear them with pride.

I have a bad feeling about today, it looks like a mom working day. Which means we will have a lot of responsibilities. Think good thoughts for us, that rug from the other day really needed to die, but we haven't convinced them of  that yet.

Stay cool,
Annie

An odd patch of grass

Mom brought home this cool patch of colored grass and laid it by the back door. I sniffed it and the thing reminds me of hay. When she turned her back I tasted it a little. Not great but maybe I'll give it another taste test tomorrow when she leaves me in the kitchen.

Annie lost her mind. She's on her back wiggling around like an angle worm, barking and pulling at her own tail. Sometimes I feel bad for her. She has dignity issues.

Dad hasn't been much use to me today. He started reading a book called "Cesar's Way". After a couple hours of reading he started acting all Calm and Assertive. Not sure what that's all about.

I call it redesigning

DSC00312
There were a lot of really fine looking toys in this house. Stuffed one's, round one's, pull one's, and some called indestructible. That made me laugh. I think all toys need to be investigated, need to be redesigned, need to be inspected. And to do that correctly you need to really get into the guts of the toy. I think I need to be put on somebody's board of directors, as I am really good at this.

We still have a large basket of stuff, I don't thing anyone would really call them toys tho....... It's not an easy job, but somebody's got to do it and I volunteer.
Dad thinks it's silly to buy more, but we just look sad and try to find a shoe or something to redesign., so that kind of convinces mom differently. I guess, I could just push Quig around a little more. What do you think?

Jumonville, a little bit of doggy heaven

Morning all, what a day we had yesterday. It was one of those days when mom and dad used their heads and stayed with us, so that we could watch them. I don't think they always think things thru when they just vanish. Willly tried to tell them and now it's our turn, danger is everywhere and only we can protect them.

Anyway, they stayed home for a good while, conned us into thinking all was well, when all of a sudden mom started collecting stuff. Annie likes to collect toys, but this was different. She was getting water, a bowl, some towels, of course some Bil Jac, and put them all in a big gold purse thingy. Then those dreaded leashes came out (okay they are getting much less dreaded, but I'm not telling them that). So they opened the gate and I even went without a fight. I had to stop co-operating when they wanted us in the car, I can only do so much, I just stood there and dad had to convince me to get in.

So off we went, and we found this wonderful wooded, place called Jumonville. We walked for a long time, through woods  and over gravel. The smells were amazing, Annie had to stop a lot because she was with mom, and mom isn't quite the hiker, but she didn't mind, as it gave her more time to sniff. At the end of the long path, was a huge garden type place, it had ponds and fresh water, and more paths through the woods.  I am telling you, this was doggy heaven.

They promised us we'd go again, but man were we tired when we got home. Dad was okay, but mom, Annie and I slept most of the day.

Come and walk with us at Jumonville sometime, it will make your tail wag.

Love, Quig and the gang.

John tested--- Annie approved

Oh boy what a day. Our really good friends Mary Ann and Leslie came, just as promised. And oh how we loved them, they brought us new toys, and raw hides were really taken with us. And we were taken with them. We showed them how cute we could be and even Quigley who was in his hiding place (the one no one knows about) came out to greet them.

Mary Ann brought mom the cookie recipe. It was a long day, what with the bath and all, the trauma. But by afternoon, Quigley forgave dad some and it seemed we were going to just settle into a wonderful saturday thing. When night came, dad wanted mom to make the cookie's, she promised to make them tomorrow ( which is now today) but he couldn't wait. Dad is a pretty good baker, so she just smiled and let him go at it.

It wasn't very long when the kitchen smelled wonderful and mom was saying they tasted wonderful. He was working in the kitchen on mom's new phone while they cooled and then we all came into the living room. Quigley fell asleep and all got quiet. Mom has this thing called allergies and they were "acting up", so she decided to take a pill and go to bed. She went into the kitchen to get the pill and oh my what did she see?

There was Annie, somehow reaching on top of the island , where the cookies were cooling, eating them one at a time. When mom came in and saw, Annie very wisely dropped the one she had just stolen and looked innocent. Mom called our VERY loudly for dad and asked how many were eaten. She had gotten 5. Now I don't know if you remember or not, but the cookies were PEANUT BUTTER, CHOCOLATE CHUNKS.

Mom being mom went into panic mode, dad being dad, went with her. Lucky for Annie, our vet is a long time family friend and so when dad called him at home at 9 o'clock at night he didn't get mad. Lucky for her too, cause he said the cookies didn't have the bad chocolate in them and she would be alright. Dad was getting ready to put something down her throat that would make her throw up, and I don't think she would have liked that.

So yesterday was a day where we taught them a thing or two. NEVER leave stuff that SMELLS good anywhere that Annie can levitate to. They happen to be quick learners, so I guess Annie is out of luck as she'll never have a chance to steal goodies again.

Oh yeah, it's the next morning now, and if any of you are worried, Annie is fine, no side effects from the chocolate, but mom said, no matter what, she'll never taste that again.

Quigley, (THE GOOD DOG) signing off.

Hi guys, Camille here, just one more thing. We just spent about $100,00 dollars on 60 lbs of dog food  that is grain free............................Yikes. And the first people food she has ever gotten here is cookies.
The best laid plans of mice and men.

A bath…really?

We have learned a lot since we came to our new home, but today we learned,”If they say it enough, it happens”
DSC00303They got out a little pool, all I could think was that it was a little small to swim, but it was better than nothing. Dad even went the extra mile and warmed the water. That should have been my first clue something was up.

DSC00305Poor Annie was the first to get dunked. They poured water all over her with a bucket, a bucket, can you believe it? I know they do that at football games when they win, but on poor little Annie? Then they put some shampoo on her, mom said it was by Martha Stewart and would be soothing to her skin, I don’t know she just smells different to me, that is all I know.

DSC00306I thought I was too smart for them, I immediately hid under the deck. But somehow they tricked me out and before I knew what happened they did the same thing to me. It didn’t feel awful,  but the indignities, right out in the open for all the neighbors to see.  Mom tried to help me, but it seemed she didn’t know what she was doing because she just kept pouring more water on me. I tried to tell her, but she just kept telling me what a good boy I was and how pretty I was going to look.

DSC00308
Now does this look pretty to you?

DSC00309They think they are so smart. But before I knew it, it was over. I tried to run for the under deck (my favorite hide out—they will never see me there), but mom ambushed me with big fluffy towels. Okay I look a lot better and that’s not easy to do, cause from what people tell me, I am one good looking boy. But I punished them, by being sad all day, and making them sorry. Two dogs can play their game.
Later,
Quigley and Annie…….

It's a thing called Saturday

I am not sure what the big todo is all about, but her and him, are sooooooooooo happy because of a thing called Saturday. Mom is home on this one and the sun is suppose to shine and they are so excited. I find it doesn't take much to make them happy. Her voice get's really high and excited if we go outside to do our business. Doesn't she know that is where we are suppose to do it? At least that is what she keeps telling us, I think she forgets.
They have been throwing  a new word around. Something called a bath. I am not sure what that is, but they keep saying how much we like to swim, and water is involved, but I am just not too sure about this. We have had lots of New stuff these last couple of weeks. Couches, beds (a big favorite) lots of toys and balls and squeaky things. We do rides that don't last for days, have met lots of really new wonderful people. It seems we are pretty sweet, cause we hear those words a lot. But you just never know when the next new thing won't be really wonderful. Like at the vet's, he did something called cleaning out our anal sacks, oh boy neither one of us liked that at all, but Quig really hated it. So we will have to talk to mom and dad about this bath thing, maybe we can change their minds. I am sure if we loose, pictures of our disapproval will be forth coming.

Have a happy Saturday, if you have those in your world.

Love,
Annie and Quigley

A slide show of the kids in the yard.

So what's wrong with Grey Hair???

We did a road trip today. I am so proud, I (that's me Annie) jumped right into the car, no pushing, prodding or pleading. Quiq, still wasn't too sure about it, but they pulled out the Bil Jac and  he caved, with a little help from dad, in he went. We road for a long time, but the air smelled sweet and Quigley settled down, so it was on. We went to a pet store in Morgantown, it is called Woof's. (Perfect name if you ask me) They let us come in and gave us some yummy treats and let us walk around and look at all their toys. We were on our best behavior, didn't steal even one toy, (dad was really worried about that) we got our special food,(it's called "Taste of the Wild" and it's yummy, some new raw hides, a new collar for me that is guaranteed for a lifetime. Mom said if anyone can chew through it, it will be me, but they promised to just give us another one if that happens.
Any way on the way home, mom was saying she needed her hair done, as her roots are getting grey. So what's wrong with Grey Hair, have you seen me? People talk about my beautiful hair all the time. I think she is just being silly. It just makes us look alike.  Maybe we can get outfits that match. What do you think?

Love, Annie

We met our new Vet.

DSC00263
Well they did it again, put a leash on us and made us get into the car. (Okay, I don’t want them to know but, I didn’t mind as much this time) We had a nice ride, not to long, and new stuff to smell through the open window’s. And then when we got to the special place mom said we were going too, we got out of the car and it was utopia, the smells were  wonderful, we wanted to just walk and walk around to see who all had been there before.
But they made us go in and boy was everybody nice. The girls all said how pretty we were, and something about Annie looking like some other dog. They let us kiss them, and there was lots of mutual admiration going on. We are thinking that this car thing might catch on.
DSC00264We waited a little while for someone they called “THE  DOCTOR” but he wasn’t as scary as his name made us think. The girl Theresa, was really pretty and liked us a lot. The dr came in and kept saying what good dogs we were. He thought we were really friendly, and strong dogs.

DSC00265This is a picture of Annie getting her chip, I got one too, but I was on the floor for mine, I didn’t need to be picked up and anyway I weigh more than sissy. She only weighed 36 lbs and I weighed in at a great big 57 lbs. We found out sissy has something called hookworm, so as is usual, when she gets something, I have to get treated too. (although this time, I gotta say it tasted really good). When we were finished, dad waited in the car while mom paid the dr. We made one more stop on the way home and then when we got home, we ran, and played, (It’s always nice to come back home) then we ate, got special doggy ice cream because we were so good, and had our medicine.
DSC00266They promised to take us out again really soon, but for just fun this time, although I gotta say, today was a good day.
Love, Quigley and Annie.

Our new friends

Okay dad went and worked at our friend Mary Ann's house today.  Well she hasn't met us yet, but I know she is our friend because she sent home the BEST red ball that talks. And mom said she sent them the BEST peanut butter chocolate chip cookies ever. So THAT is how I know she is our good friend. Any way this ball is the most fun. I have had to share it with Quigley, I really didn't want too, but it was just too juicy for me not to share. I also wanted to take it down in the yard, but mom wouldn't let me. I have a tendency to loose stuff down there, and then have to go crazy trying to find it.
I want to thank my good friend Mary Ann, and I can't wait to see you face to muzzle. So until Sat., have fun with dad tomorrow and say hi to Wezzie for Quig and me.

Love,
Annie

Have you seen my teeth????

DSC00210Okay so you know I love my mom and dad, but I’m not sure how smart they are. I was wondering, have you seen my teeth? They are really big, sharp and very white, but every time I find some jucey piece of junk in the yard, they just open my mouth (because I never want to give it up) and stick their fingers inside of it and take what ever, I just can’t understand what they are thinking. Lucky for them I love them so much,
Have a good day, hope it is dryer where you are then it is here.
Love Quigley

Reincarnated ????????????? Really?

I have no idea where she gets these ideas, but mom is convinced that Quigley is the reincarnation of Willy. I don't know what reincarnation is nor do I know what a Willy is, but she is sure. She swears she can see Willy's soul coming out of Quigley's eye's. The way he tilts his head, the way he knew the moment he got into this yard that he was home.He even goes under the deck whenever he thinks they want to take him out of the yard, so that he doesn't have to leave.
She figures when he opened his eyes for the first time, and realized that he was not in Uniontown, he panicked. And then he started to fret on how he was going to get home. When mom decided she wanted to adopt, Shelli sent his picture even before she sent mine. He was not what they were looking for, that was ME, but the minute mom saw him, she decided she had to have him too.
I'll be honest, I don't care if he is Willy reincarted or not I just know I love Quig and if part of him is Willy then I love Willy too. I just wish, he wasn't afraid of the leash. We could do so much more and go so many more places if he didn't fret so much. If anyone know's how he can not be afraid of his leash, mom would really appreciate your advice.

I need a nap, mom got up really early this morning and if she is up, so are we, so off to sleep I go.

Love,
Annie.

2 Posts in one day.

Happy Mothers day everyone. I know this is rare, 2 posts in one morning. BUT mom wanted to say she's having the best mothers day (we know she's not our natural mother, but she is our REAL mom). She says she is so happy to have pups again, and most of all for having Quigley back to his old self. She and dad were really worried when his personality changed so much after that dreadful tick oil, but in about 36 hrs he is back to normal and will never have to worry about that stuff ever again.

We love our forever home and the little family we now have. Thanks for being a part of it and following our stories.

Love, Annie and Quigley

A pepto morning

I had to sneak down stairs. My tummy was rumbling a little. I'm pretty sure I woke everyone up so I have to post this quickly. Last night I was up kind of late and I finally drifted off to sleep after going up to bed with Dad around 1am. But around 3am my tummy started making noises so I decided I should wake Brubby and see what he thought I should do. We decided to jump up on Mom and Dad's bed to see if they needed anything before we headed down. They decided to join us so we all headed down and went outside to sniff around a bit. When I came back in Dad had a plunger thingy with a little pink stuff inside. I figured, What the Heck is this but low and behold, it tasted like cherries! Not bad at all and I think my tummy started feeling a little better after I drank. After a little while Mom went up to bed with Quigley and as soon as I finish this post, I'm heading up myself. Nite everyone.

We know we've said it before, but

We think they really have lost there minds this time. You know mom is a nut case, and has been going crazy since they found that tick thing on Annie. So she has been stalking the vet's office for the flea and tick oil for us. They have had Annie's all along, and really she was the one that had the tick, so why involve me. But involve me they did. Mom finally couldn't stand it anymore and went into the vet's office, and once more they had Annie's but not mine. The girl behind the desk said, "We do have this other one" Mom being very observant saw that it was made by Frontline and asked what the difference was, and the girl said it was just a few dollars more. So mom said she "bit the bullet" and bought them both. It took a day or two for her to get up the nerve to finally put it on us, but she and dad worked together and last night did it. First of all let me tell you the name of what she used on me it is called Certifect. And she said do not EVER, EVER, EVER. buy that stuff. First of all it smells, a really big time awful smell. Annie's you can't smell at all, next I started acting sad, now that really scared her, and she started to fret. Then she did what she tell"s everyone not to do. She got on the internet and did her research --a little late if you ask me. Anyway the comments weren't good. She got a little loud and wanted to wash it off. Dad thought it would be okay and said I needed the treatment, so she went to bed. I am a little better this morning, but still not my vivacious self. I am eating and running in the yard, drinking water, but once in the house all I want to do is lay around.
We see the vet on wed, but if I don't perk up today, they will call him at home. Mom said next time, we will use the same kind of stuff they got for Annie, or nothing at all.

She said I made her stomach hurt. But I don't think it's my fault. Something about loving me so much.

Until later, a very laid back Quigley.

Don't tell mom.

You will never believe what happened at our house yesterday. For some strange reason, mom left before dad, (that never happens) and left it up to him to take care of us. Now don't get me wrong, he does a really good job, but when he left to go to the KYROPRACKTERS, what ever that is (again they talk really funny), he forgot to put us away. When mom leaves she always, puts us out to do our stuff, get some really yummy treats, and then thinking she is fooling us, throws them into the crates, so we will go in, and closes the doors. I am not sure if she noticed or not Quig walks in with no sweat and doesn't seem to cry when she goes anymore.
Anyway, when dad left, he just closed us into the kitchen, alone, and locked the door,(like he thinks we're Willy and could get out--ha). But then what to do? We looked for something to do, but I guess he just forgot. So Annie got on the table and looked out the windows there, and I sat in front of the door and guarded the yard. It wasn't long before mom got home, she didn't seem mad. I guess she didn't know dad forgot what to do. But she kept telling us what good kids we were and we got kisses and lots of love. So all in all it was okay We. were going to defend dad if we had too, but she was cool and we just let it go.

Yesterday was a no crate day, seemed okay to us.

Love Quigley and Annie.

A nice day to stay home and veg

DSC00240 (1024x768)Kind of a quiet day here. Mom and Dad decided to stay home with us today so we got plenty of rest. Annie got so bored she thought that she may as well give my ears a good cleaning. Afterwards I thanked her by chewing on her nose. I do what I can.
Later we took Mom out for a walk in the lower yard so she could throw the ball for my sister. We saw some kids walking down the street and wanted to go meet them but they didn’t seem that interested in us…go figure.

I am NOT dumb as a stump!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay we all know Annie is the smart one. But I figured something out yesterday that will knock your socks off. There are things called couches and beds. And they are REALLY soft, and so easy on your bones after a long day trying not to get into trouble. Not getting into trouble is a little harder than I thought it would be living in a house. When I lived outside with Alfie in Mississippi, I could chew anything. Sticks, stones, Alfie, anything. But now in my forever home, there"s lots of stuff that I am not allowed to chew. So I get tired at the end of the day. Annie has been jumping on that furniture stuff since day 2, I wasn't sure why she wanted to jump  so much. But today, Oh My, I got up and no one said off, I stretched out, I get really long when I do that and just fell asleep. Now I am not sure why no one ever told me how good that felt before. So last night when it was time to go upstairs to bed, I figured why not, when normally I would just kiss mom goodnight, I decided to stay. And let me tell you, it was the best night sleep I've had it along time. Mom thinks I hog the covers, and dad gets a little shoved, but all it all, I think it was a success.

Oh the joys of a forever home.

The joy of being owned by 2 Aussies

Well here we are in week two of having dogs in our home again. (Please don't tell them I called them dogs, they now believe they have transcended into humans.) I have to tell you in the year that we were without 4 legged friends, we forgot how unbelievably wonderful life is with them. My house was a lot cleaner 2 weeks ago, but it was also a lot emptier. They have made us laugh, a little bit crazy, made us go our in the rain (they don't like to do anything without us), and sit in the grass getting eaten alive by mosquito's. And we have done it with the silliest looks on our faces. When Annie sleeps on the couch curled up, with her nose tucked away, we think it is the smartest thing any dog has ever done. Or when Quigley sits whenever he see's Bil Jac, because we are using that to train them( and that is the first thing he learned). He figures even if it is in the fridge, he sits. What a good boy.

Thank you all for being so interested in our newest family members. Thank you so much to Shelli, for setting this all in motion, and most of all---Thank you to Johnna, for being able to part with them, and bringing them all the way to us here in Uniontown.

This post is all from John and I, but the love is from us all

A bag ful of fun...........

Mom came home from the place called work today with a wonderfully smelly bag. We think mom is the cat's meow, but tonight she was way better than ever before. She told us her friend Deb brought  these new toys to her to give to us.
Before I tell you how wonderful they are, (well for one of them it is now--how wonderful it was.--Annie already ate it,) I want to thank Deb for the toys. We think they are the best ever, I am sorry that Annie ate one, but I guess it smelled really good, and she couldn't help herself. It was really kind of you to share your goodies with us. Mom took some pictures of us with a few of them. I think she is holding out on us tho, I swear I can smell more somewhere.
So today is Thank You Deb Day, we hope to meet you soon.

 Love, Annie and Quigley

I think they were trying to loose us...........

As Annie promised I get to tell our story today. We knew something was up, as they were acting really squirrely . I am not sure that is a word, but you know what I mean.

First of all they took out those dreaded leashes----again--- Little Miss Perfect, (sticking my tongue out ) Annie, didn't mind at all. I for one HATE them. And then they actually put her's on, but I was having none of that. I am strong and fast, I know how to move, so off I went. Dad thought it was a game, so he called me, tried to trick me with bil jac, (I think that was mom, they always act together). Finally somehow, they did it.  They nabbed me, I was leashed. Then they took us out of our safe little world and thought we should get into a red thing. Even Annie knew this could be a mistake and backed up, right out of her collar. That got the attention off of me, but she is SUCH A GOOD GIRL, (again, that is all I hear) that she came right back when mom called her name. So now they were determined to get us into that thing called a car. I just said NO, I'll give it to Annie she tried too, but mom just picked her up, and put her in the back seat. It was a little harder for dad, as I am a fighter. But he won. And somehow I was in the back seat with sissy. Once in, it wasn't so bad,  we rode around, met dad's friend Jerome, went to the bank, and then came back home. Annie didn't like the ride thing, I think she thought we would have to be in the car like the last time. It took days. But we got home and they finally took my leash off'

BUT they threatened to do it all over again today. They keep saying we will like it more. But I have my doubts.

Quigley, here signing off.

I thought we better get baby pictures of our kids posted on the blog. There's nothing quite like new parents with a wallet full of photo's

Did you ever hear about a thing called a Tick?

I really am not sure what it is, but mom keep going "Oh My God, Oh My God, Oh My God", So I am guessing it is not the best thing ever.
When we first got here, there was a lot of kissing and getting to know each other (okay that hasn't stopped yet and with any luck never will] anyway, as I was getting rubbed all over, mom said "is that a tick?" But I was wiggling so much no one could get a good look at what she was talking about.  So the next time someone felt it they tried to look again but----------- Alright let me tell you, I am one little girl, but I sure can move, I'm thinking of trying out for "So You Think You Can Dance" but that is a talk for another day---------. And I still wouldn't slow down for dad to see what it was, but he thought it was something he called a tag. Between you and me, these guys sure talk funny.  So the day my new best girlfriend Stacy came over, she said, does she have a tick, good grief, these guys never give up, and again mom said we think it's a tag. Well two nights ago, dad was giving me the love I so richly deserve and he said that tag sure was getting big, and he decided nothing I did was going to stop him from examining me completely. And that is when mom started the Oh My God stuff. I won't go into how they worked on me to get rid of that thing. Dad said it was huge, mom said she didn't want to see it, but dad said it is really huge, and mom said I still don't want to  see it. So she didn't  look.  They said something about going to find something to put on us so won't get any more.
I think they are going to take us with them, so we can go for out first ride in the car. I'll let Quig tell you all about it tomorrow.

Have a day full of sunshine and lollipop's. That is from mom, I have no idea what she is talking about.

Love,
Annie

We just don't know how this happens

Mom still does hair sometimes and her friend and our new Grammy Sally came by yesterday. Grammy Sally brought us treats and let us kiss her and lick her and even let Quigley jump on her a couple of times. Although mom didn't like that and did her weird sound. So after we entertained her, they went down into the dark hole, that mom calls the basement. It seems they were gone for a really long time, but mom said it was just about an hour and a half. She was really nice and didn't put us in the crate, well she was nice to Quigley, I don't  mind the crate at all. So we napped a little, and stretched a little, drank a little water, and well I just couldn't stand it anymore cause I was bored. I looked around for something fun to do, cleaned the floor for her, sniffed Quig, but she was just taking too long, so I got on the table to see if anything needed moved . And geeze, she left the remote control on the table, I know it was a mistake, so I figured I'd better protect it. But it smelled really good, somewhat like mom and dad, smelled a little like food and I just couldn't help myself. I ate it. Okay I admit it, I ate it. And boy was she mad.

Dad came home and went to the cable company, walked in with the chewed up remote and said "we got new pup's can you tell?" Lucky for me the lady was nice and gave my dad a new one for free.

I just don't know how these things happen,
See you later,
Annie

Okay, it's Quigley here. I need to tell you about mom loosing her mind last night. I just don't know what got into her, but she pulled something open. (She won't let me do this, so I wasn't sure what was up.) Anyway out comes a round black thing. I wanted to examine it, but she wasn't having any of it. So then she takes something else out of a drawer,( at least that is what she calls it,) and plugs it in, and then plugs the other end into the wall. I have to admit Annie and I were very interested at this point, and then all of a sudden, explosions were going off, pop, pop, pop. It seemed to never end. Finally silence, and then the smell, oh boy, it made your mouth just water. Some kind of white stuff was put into a bowl, and can you believe it, she wouldn't share. Oh yeah, dad got lots, but us----nadda. Just not fair if you ask me.

Hey brub, it's my turn, Annie here. Okay we got thru last night okay, after the white stuff was eaten BY THEM. We all went to sleep, had a good night they didn't snore too much so we didn't have to wake them up. About 6 this morning they started to stir and so we all had to get up. Mom went first, and we had to go make sure she was safe. She opened the door for all of us to go out, and low and behold, there was something wrong. It was wet, and I mean really wet. And then there was more of it coming down, hard. I didn't want to go out, Quigley didn't mind as much, but she made us. And then she put something over her head, it was big and very scary. I am afraid she is having a break down. First last night, then this morning. Dad finally had to come down and take over, we went out with him, but I was afraid to leave her alone, so I made her come out for a minute too. She kept saying some thing like. "They had to have seen rain before, what is there problem." But if you ask me she needs a rest.

Think good thoughts for her.
Love,
Quigley and Annie

PS, Camille here, the pop corn was really good.

Really?

Okay so the kids read over the posting's and did a really mom, that is sooooooooooo boring. Company? really, cute and sweet? They must have gotten together and decided to give me something fun to write about, So first thing they did or maybe I should say Annie did was to make a liar out of me. I have been so proud of them for not getting into the pond. It was one of the big concern's of Johnna and Shelli too, since they swam in Mississippi every day. But I bragged, I glowed as they walked past it without so much as a glance being thrown.   Anyway, I was home yesterday and we did a lot of going out, running, playing, trying to find some smelly thing to eat (any rotten pear's that didn't get picked up was the delicacy of the day) They, make that we took naps, watched some TV, (Quigley's favorite) and just had a nice time together. Then dad came home, oh my were we happy. I now know why, dad took them out for a run and within minutes returned with a red face, trying NOT to smile, and said "I need a   towel" Of course I was thoughtful and understanding, never raising my voice when I said"YOU DIDN'T LET THEM GET INTO THE POND DID YOU'"? And again grinning, red face getting more red by the second, answered, not them, just Annie. Again as you all know me so well, you know I still didn't raise my voice, when I told him that now that they found the pond it would be his responsibility to dry them off whenever they got into it.   I am making this posting, so if anything strange happens to him concerning our pond, my defense will be set.   More on sleeping habits later.
Have a good and dry day.
