Now that it’s over

DSC_0277We’ll share a few of our Christmas pictures. We really love opening gifts. If we could we would have opened everybody’s. But they insisted on opening their own. (poop heads)

DSC_0285 - CopyThis rope thingy was a big favorite, at least for awhile. Come to think of it, I’ve got to go look and see what we did with it. I haven’t seen it for awhile.

We have been playing with all of our stuff and tore a few of them to shreds. Don’t know why we do that as they are always our favorites.

We will continue to share for awhile, but this is New Year’s eve and tonight we are going to celebrate. That means we get to have extra treats….

Wishing you a safe and wonderful New Years eve. And that all your dreams for next year come true.

Happy, happy, with lots of love,

Quigley and Annie

Aunt Maria calls this….

20131226_134130_resizedHog Heaven. I call it my life. I keep getting a bad rap about being bossy and a little over the top; when it comes to herding. But I’m actually a snuggle bunny and love to lay with mom on the couch. I admit, I do the belly up just so she’ll give me a good rub. But who wouldn’t ,she is such an easy touch.

I hope that you get your belly rubbed any time you need it. Looking needy once in awhile doesn’t hurt.

It’s almost New Years eve, so start thinking of being safe and what you want the new year to bring.

I know what we want it to bring. It’s your happiness and prosperity. Mom helped me with that word, I really don’t know what it means.

Love you all, remember I’ve always got a belly to rub,

Annie

A quiet day after Christmas.

20131229_191350_resizedWell we must have been very good dogs this year, as we got lots and lots of toys for Christmas.

Now that everyone is gone and no one is suppose to come until we see Big Doc on New Years day, we are settling down. Here we are sharing one of our many toys and looking quite fetching if I have to say so myself.

May your evening be quiet and your hearts be bright, just like the lights on our tree.

Loving you, Annie and Quigley

Where did they all go?

DSC02773It seems the main part of Christmas  is over. And a sadness has come over us. They all left.---- Aunt Maria, H,  stayed for a couple of happy days and nights.

DSC02775Les, Mary Ann, Rich, Doug, even cousin’s   Len and Tat-Chan, all came in a 24hr time span. And now they are all gone. Was it something we did? We don’t talk much, so I’m sure it’s not something we said.

Whatever it was, we want them all back…..Please.

We hope all your company comes and stays as long as you want them to. And if you get lonely, just jump right in you car and come on over.

We love you, a sad and lonely

Annie and Quigley

It’s Christmas morning at our house.

DSC02766We had wonderful company last night.

DSC02768But we had to work really hard to take care of all of them.

DSC02770So we are beat.

DSC02771But wishing you a Merry and Blessed Christmas is first on our list this morning.

And can you believe? They still haven’t let us see what Santa brought.

But Ho Ho Ho, and Merry Christmas from our house to yours.

Love, Annie and Quigley

It’s the morning of Christmas Eve

DSC02763Aunt Maria and Hugh Scott came yesterday. Oh boy were we happy. Annie was a little shy of H but that didn’t last long. Pretty soon it was hugging and kissing and belly rubbing non stop.

So because of all that excitement,  everyone is still sleeping and I wanted to sneak down to show you what we got.

DSC02764Miss Sandy came by the other day with lots of package’s . I’m really getting to like this Christmas thing. People come and then on top of that they bring gifts……

Anyway these are the really cool ornaments Miss Sandy brought. Aren’t they the bomb? I was going to call them the cat’s  meow, but we really don’t like cats too much. But these orni’s well they are the best, and my mom didn’t even make them.

Hope your Christmas eve is filled with wonderful family, great friends and lots of good food. Remember it’s just one more day until our savior was born.

Merry Christmas eve and now I’m back to bed,

Love, Quigley, whose favorite breed is rescued….

Dad just doesn’t understand…..

DSC02755Every Christmas, dad makes his mom’s wonderful Molasses cookies. And this year was no different. Accept….we’re here now and we’re older, sooooooooooo we figured we could help.

DSC02758But would he let us? Nooooooo. Not him. He kept turning his back on us, and telling us to move.

DSC02759Now really, it’s NOT that we were hoping that something would fall. But if it did, we have promised to help keep the floors spotless (except for our sometimes muddy feet) So it would be our responsibility to catch it before it hit the floor.

DSC02762We are doing all that we can to be sure Santa doesn’t miss our house tomorrow night.

Wishing you good baking, clean floors and a house filled with joy. Aunt Maria and H are coming today, so at least the joy part is gonna happen here.

Merry Christmas, today and tomorrow and tomorrow again.

Santa’s little helpers,

Annie and Quigley

Well it is the Saturday before Christmas…

DSC02717Mom is not only a decorating fool, but she is a ornament making fool. This is one she made for our tree. She has had so much fun doing them, but quite honestly, when she does that she is paying less attention to me.

DSC02749Can you believe it? Just look at how sad I am. Okay so maybe I’m not sad, just trying to eat something off the deck before she catch’s me…….

Hope your Saturday is fun. And that your count down is easy. Just 4 more days till Christmas. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Up on the roof top reindeer paws,

oh jeez, how will we ever catch them to play.

Love, Quig

Patrolling the back yard

DSC02737Now I take my job VERY seriously . I was bred to protect and guard. And those traits are very strong in my tiny body. I patrol the parameters of our yard at least 20 times a day, okay that includes my night runs also. I need to make sure the parents and Quig are safe at all times.

DSC02740Something was on our deck, haven’t told dad if it was a cat or a bird or that annoying little rabbit. But as you can tell I’m on it’s trail.

DSC02743Brub does help, he likes to be out too. It didn’t hurt that yesterday was a really nice day for December, and the sun was out for awhile, so that is why he was too.

DSC02747I like to take a last look before going in, don’t want to slack on my job.

DSC02753And then it’s time for a nap. You can see, how hard Quigley worked…….Oh boy.

Hope your yards are safe, you never know when a wild eyed bunny will come to visit.

Love you all,

Annie the strong and Quigley the tired.

Deco Mesh and Holly

DSC02728Hi everyone, I’ve found out why mom likes having a blankie on her legs at night. Wow does it feel good. A soft couch and warm blanket and what more do you need.

DSC02731Now brub, he likes laying on those same types of blankets. In the winter mom puts them on the floor, just to make us warm and cozy. At least that is what we think. I sweat I heard her tell someone she does it to keep the rug a little cleaner, as these are easy to wash. But we know the truth, everything in this house is done to make us happy.

DSC02732Here are a few more pictures of her decorations. That is her deco mesh and holly design. She went deco mesh crazy this year. We move really fast when she pulls that out, I’m not sure deco mesh and dogs go well.

DSC02735She has a ton of houses to light up her village, but this is one of her favorites. It’s a greenhouse, with poinsettia’s in the window’s. It reminds her of her childhood.. When Uncle Leonard would see that St. Theresa’s church always had beautiful flowers for Christmas Mass.  Oh boy those were the days..

Well it’s going to be another crazy day, the crunch is on; and it is not the kind we like .  We like the Biscuit kind of crunch…

Happy crunch day, smile, be happy, and watch out for mom and deco mesh.

We love you,

Annie and Quigley

About Yesterday----

DSC02715Whoops----I know we promised to post more often, but we had a sleep in, by mistake, yesterday…..
We like getting up early, like 5 in the morning. But yesterday, it was cold outside, really cold. And it was so comfy in our bed with two humans and two very warm blooded pups. So when mom finally stirred, we heard—Oh NO it’s seven o’clock. John, get up, you have to go to work.
DSC02718Okay, now we don’t want to sound selfish, but the truth is, all we were worried about was, food. We like to eat the second we get up, and then there is that outside thing we need to do. Annie, doesn’t like to talk about that, so I’ll leave it up to your imagination.
DSC02726And then if he’s going to be late for work, what about our walk? Who’s going to take us? Mom doesn’t do the early morning one. As a fact, she hasn’t been doing our mid morning walk. Something about it being slippy and needing to bake for Christmas. She doesn’t share THOSE cookies with us, so why bother?
Anyway, we're sorry about yesterday and we will try to do better. But you know Christmas is one week away and mom needs us to step up and help her.. So only heaven knows how good we’ll do, and we have to remember Santa is watching.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh the pressure,
Love you bunches,
Quigley and Annie

I hate command performance's

DSC02711First of all here are a few more pictures of crazy mom’s decorations. I mean, my dear, sweet mother’s fond love of decorating.----

DSC02716I think this guy looks like Quigley. I have knocked him over a few time’s just trying to sniff and see why he is so stiff.

DSC02726But now to me and the hating of command performances. In some customs, I’ve heard that people don’t want to have their pictures taken, as they fear that you are stealing their souls.

Well, I see some sense in that.

DSC02720But I love my mom, and she promised a picture of me today, sooooooooooooooo here I am. Don’t look too happy do I? Well in defense of myself, it is early and I just got up, haven’t even had my first nap of the morning.

But it snowed here last night, so the walk with dad is going to be a blast. You should see how funny he looks when we try to tear out. Woo hoo,,,,,,,,,,

Stay warm and safe and know that even tho I hate command performances, I love you all,

Annie the bored

HO HO HOello

DSC02706I know, I know it’s been a very long time since we last came by to visit. But in case you didn’t realize it’s almost Christmas and our mom is a NUT.

I’m exhausted, just watching her antic’s. She has decorated at least half of our house, and there are boxes all over.(None of which have our names on, which does not make me happy).

Sissy is so tired, she keeps running up and putting herself to bed. Yikes…..

But I have to admit, this Christmas thing sure is pretty and it makes mom really happy.

DSC02713This is going to take a few post’s as we want to share what our house looks like this year and we can’t get it in all at once.

Mom said when she was a little girl, this is how she knew it was Christmas. Granny Annie would get this church out and it was mom’s favorite thing. So Grandma, gave it to her when she had her own house to decorate. It’s sitting under the tree, next to our Nativity scene.

DSC02714This is the real meaning of Christmas you know. And as tired as we get just running up and down the stairs, watching mom do her thing, we sure do like this time of year.

So we are back now, and so is our special cousin Tee, (another thing to be thankful for). Check back tomorrow for some more pictures and maybe this time, the princess will show her pretty little face.

Merry soon to be Christmas, happy getting ready for the big day, and remember, a child was born, to Bless us all.

Hugs and nuzzles,

Quig, the man
