It was a long hard, but fun weekend.

DSC02647Wow what a weekend we had. The weather here is wonderful. Cool, sometimes down right cold, clear and dry. So being alive is just a joy.. And to add something really wonderful, on Sunday, big doc and the pups came to visit.

So we walked and ran, played and ate. The big guys, laughed and danced, (that was mom and dad and let me tell you, what they lack in rhythm they make up in joy.) and walked and walked and walked.

And that’s the reason I’m so tired. I’ve got to keep up with all this silliness and joy. I’ve got to referee the pups, and make sure Annie doesn’t get too bossy. It’s a lot for a little guy like me, sooooooooo I’m pretty tired. So tired I have to hold up my chin, even while I sleep. But I promise you because of all this stuff, my dreams are sweet.

So if it is all the same to you, I’m going to just go back to sleep, and talk to all of you later.

Have a wonderful day, run hard, nap well and know somebody loves you,

Me,

Quigley

We have a pear tree.

DSC02638This is it. Usually it is chock full of pears. But now that fall is coming and it’s getting much colder, they fall off. And that makes us soooooooooo happy.

DSC02639This is what they look like once they hit the ground. No it’s not critters that are eating them, it’s us, well actually it’s Quig.

DSC02640Sometimes when we are out in the yard and mom calls us back in, well, Quigley hangs back and this is what he does. He eats pears. Preferably ones that are a little rotten, but he’ll eat anything.

DSC02646This is him telling me not to squeal on him, but I just can’t seem to help myself.

Between you and me they really are tasty.

Hope your trees are full of fruit and your heart is full of love,

Ours are.

Love the girl who loves to tattle and the boy who loves to eat pears,

Annie and Quigley

Carfefully taught

So last night, mom was watching South Pacific. And boy does she like to sing and sing LOUD. It seems that, that movie is one of her very favorites. Dad like's it too, but he doesn't know all the words like she does, so he doesn't sing as loud.  Anyway, when she gets carried away like that, it is time for us to play. They have been promising you all that they would catch some of our cuter times, sooooooooooooooooo here it is.
Mom says that these things always make her smile, so we hope it will do the same for you.
Remember, we love you all, and the only thing we were carefully taught was to love.
Your best buds,
Annie and Quigley

What a silly dad.

DSC02540Oh jeez. I guess we are kind of teenagers now. Because some of the stuff mom and dad do, really embarrass us . Mom likes to sing, silly songs, made up songs, that when done at home, make us smile. But she has started doing it in the park, and other people can hear……Now we love her, but she’s no American Idol.

DSC02558And dad, well look at this. Always doing weird things. Don’t know why he’s hiding his face this time, but usually it’s because he did something that made mom laugh and he starts to blush.

You got to love them, but really, they need to start acting like the big people they are. If not we’re going to have to ground them.

But honestly, they make us happy and loving them is so easy.

May your days be filled with silly songs, sung with love and someone who will always make you smile.

Love, Quigley and his adorable little sis, Annie

Mom wanted you to see---

DSC02612It seems that if we are not on a walk, the only pictures mom takes of us, is, us sleeping, or laying  down, or just being cute. So, when she had her camera out for a different reason, and we were following her around, she took these not so good pictures of us on our feet.

DSC02613But the story we are going to tell is once more about how cute we are and about sleep.

Last night when mom went to bed, sissy and I went along. Mom always stops in the bathroom (not sure why they call it that, they NEVER give us bath’s there) and we head on up to bed. I like to lay on mom’s side but for some reason, she’s not as crazy about it. And when she finally comes up, well, she always makes me move.

But not last night. Oh she tried to make me move, but her side of the bed smelled just like her, and I wasn’t budging. She told me, strongly to move, she needled   me to move, she even laughed a little to get me to move, but to no avail. So finally she just got in and pushed for me to get out of her way. That worked, but only for a little while. As soon as she was in, I was back on her side. Yeah I know she was already there, but so was I. I molded myself into her body gave her a BIG lick and went to sleep. She fussed a little, but I don’t think she really minded, cause pretty soon she was petting me with long gentle moves.

Oh boy our life is good. The dog that lives next door, really envies us. She has to stay out all day sometimes and calls to mom to bring her over. But mom said there is only room for us……..lucky us.

Hope there is always room for you to lay, with the smell of someone you love close by.

Now, off for our morning nap,

Quigley and his little sissy, Annie

A pretty girl and way to many legs…..

DSC02581These legs get all tangled up. You’d never believe how well they fly.

DSC02583Yup I said fly. We have 4 steps leading off our deck to the back yard. I don’t need to walk up or down them, I fly. Mom keeps telling dad he needs to video my doing it. I’m not sure when it will happen, but I’m sure it will. I take flying lesson”s every day.

DSC02598And me---I rule the roost. But all I need to do to make the parents happy, is be beautiful. And it’s, oh, so easy for me. I’m not bragging, I’m just calling it like it is. A pretty little girl.

May you fly to all your dreams, and smile upon a pretty girl. Even if she is bossy.

Love you bunches

Quigley the crazy leg boy and  his princess sissy, Annie

This is called loving dad.

DSC02586Dad was sleepy, I was sleepy. So I just had to let him know how much I love him….

What a wonderful dad,

Love, Annie

Momma’s been sad for a few days.

DSC02606See this big guy, his name was LC Greenwood. And he and mom were really good friends when she was younger. Not young like us, but grown up young. She says he was a really gentle giant. And she loved him very much. They hung around together for a long time, and then when she and dad got married they seemed to just drift apart. But in her heart he was still one of her best friends.

Well LC died a few days ago, and it made mom so sad. She said for the last week or so, he was on her mind and she meant to try and call him to reconnect. But as life happens, she didn’t and now it’s too late.

DSC02581So we’ve been trying to keep on the down low so that we don’t make her any sadder.

DSC02585Annie’s thinking of taking up residence under the kitchen table. Although mom says that’s not really necessary.

So we want to tell you all, we think of you daily and you are all our best friends. Mom says if you have an LC in your life, go ahead and call them today. You never know when tomorrow may be too late.

LC, mom says that your smile lit up the sky and she is sure it is now lighting up  Heaven.

Go, call someone you love,

if we could dial, we’d call you,

Quigley and Annie
