Somehow, mom lost this picture.

DSC01044
She laughed at me………can you believe it. Just because I can do some strange things with my legs. She laughed at me….

I wanted her to put this in my last posting, but somehow she lost it. So you get 2 today, small ones, but 2 just the same.

Love, I really do have 4 legs, Quigley

Boring’s back

DSC01040Well it’s September, and  the weather is still really muggy. Mom is coming down with a cold or something Dad had to go back to work and me, well I’m just vegging.

DSC01041Other than a tussle with my sissy once in awhile, things have really quieted down. Mom’s is making sounds about holiday’s coming, but I don’t know what that means.I think there is some kind of walk this weekend but mom needs to call big Doc and check for sure.

Did you notice how adorable I am when I sleep? One thing that saves my sorry butt lots of times. At least that is what mom always says.

Hope your day is much more exciting than ours will be.
Love, Quigley

Odds and Ends

DSC00925
Well we have been home for days now, and all we have are pictures and memories of our time at the beach. Here we are with dad and our beautiful girl. It was a fun way to start the day. She wakes up with a smile on her face everyday. Mom and dad could take a lesson from her.

DSC00932Here is one of those smiles. Who could resist that face.

DSC00994This was one evening when we went to run on the beach. You can’t tell, but the sky matched Camille’s shirt. The sun matches her smile, so when she is around you can’t loose.

DSC01016Oh now this is one of Quigley’s favorite pictures. It is one of the crab’s he caught. Dad actually took that from him. I don’t know, sometimes dad has a really mean streak.

DSC01038And this, this is after our long car ride home. We were both really good, slept the whole way. Don’t know if it was because we were exhausted from all our fun and security work (you know taking care of Camille and making sure all the 4 tall ones were where they belonged) or the calming pills they gave to me. Anyway, we got home safe and sound. Did a cursory run around the yard, a quick check of the house and this is where Quigley ended up. Asleep on a box.

It was a wonderful trip. Hope they will let us go again. Thank you to Shelli and Rob for sharing their home and child with us. We love you all.

Love., Annie and her brub

Okay this is when the fun really began

DSC00975
It seems that this place really is heaven. Just like mom said. Our back yard is the only place that we can run wild, no leashes. That is until now.

DSC00982The beach police said that we could run free, after 5 in the afternoon and before 9 in the morning. Shelli made dad let us go. And go we did.

DSC00986We ran so fast that the camera couldn’t even catch our action. We ran as far as we could, as fast as we could and then made mom and dad proud by coming back when called. We needed a rest after the multiple runs we made.

DSC00988Did you know that there are millions of crabs in the sand? And if you are very fast and very smart and have a really good nose, you can dig them up.

DSC00995And if you are smart enough to do it when no one is looking, you can eat them. (My crab breath finally went away yesterday)

DSC01000Being free is a wonderful thing. A lady we met with a big beautiful poodle named Susie, said, “a dog on the beach deserves to be free.”

DSC01001

We think she was very wise.

DSC01003We stayed close, to the two leggers, to each other and never got wet once. Boy are we smart.

DSC01012We played hard both in the night when we were free.

And in the morning.
Oh what a glorious place this beach thing is.
Mom wants to move there, maybe us too. We still have more pictures, so be sure to come back tomorrow.

Love the land locked kids, Annie and Quigley

Now this is when it got fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DSC00965We got to play with Camille and Shelli on the beach. Camille was a big help to mom and dad as she was very good at walking us.

DSC00966Don’t let her size fool you, she knows what she is doing. I got a little excited at one point and she held her ground and never let me go. She kept me safe the whole time.

DSC00968I think she was trying to trick us tho, we liked going where she went, but we weren’t having that water stuff. Once was enough. Did you know that when the water goes out the sand does too? And your feet seem to sink. Didn’t like that.

DSC00969Now she is talking dad into going with her too. She sure is persuasive.

DSC00971Quigley knew what to do. Love up to her mom and he didn’t have to do anything he didn’t want too. What a kiss up…………….

More tomorrow, you’ll see when we ran free on the beach. Oh what a day.

Love Annie and Quigley, the beach kids.

So this is what they were talking about.

DSC00936Now we know why mom always smiles when she says this word. Wow what a place. It has it’s own kind of dirt. Not dark and hard like in our back yard. It’s soft and warm, fluffy in parts and cool and wet in others.

DSC00938And then there is the water. Tons and tons of it. Sometimes it was really warm and sometimes cold, no wonder we got confused. Mom is crazy, she loved standing in it, letting it come up and get her all wet and sandy. It made her laugh.

DSC00943It made us run away….we seem to be a little smarter than she is.

DSC00951Rob and Shelli know how to travel, look they brought an umbrella and chairs and stuff for us to lay on. We even had our own water while we were there. It was cool and hot at the same time, how does that happen? Oh what a place………………..

Before I teach you about the beach-Oh my look at our girl!!!

DSC00927
Annie is a little shy and maybe a little afraid of small two leggers. I am not sure she even knows what they are. Are they big non hairy dogs? Are they small imitations  of mom and dad? Just not too sure.

So when this beautiful little girl showed up, overwhelmed with love for us. Well we had to take it slow. But did you see those toes? Way too tempting. They are round and inviting, with red tips. Juicy looking. Noooooooo she (Annie) didn’t  take a nibble but oh how she wanted too.

DSC00928Our little girl’s name is Camille, a little confusing for all of us, as I think that is mom’s name too. But she is the MOST beautiful little thing we have ever seen. Skin like silk, and the bluest of blue eyes. We got in trouble sometimes as she loved pretending she is a puppy named Buster. When she did that we wanted to run and play with her like we do each other, but mom squelched that for sure.

So I promise the pictures of the beach and ocean tomorrow.  But she was just too precious not to share with you first.

Love, the very smitten Quigley and Annie.
