I don’t know why-----

DSC01115I am not too sure what caused it, but even I know I’ve been awfully bad today. I just  can’t seem to stop bothering my sissy. I can’t seem to do what mom says.

DSC01121Mom got really mad, was trying to calm me down. So I figured if I hid behind dad, maybe she would just go away----.She didn’t.

DSC01123So I thought maybe if I looked sweet and laid by dad she might forget how silly I’ve been acting.

DSC01124It seemed like a long time that I stayed in one place, so I opened my eyes, and there she was. Still watching me.

DSC01125Annie was acting the martyr, and got lots of “are you okay sweetie? Did he hurt you sweetie?” Are you kidding me? Have you seen her teeth?

DSC01126I even went for the butt to butt look. She usually gets all soft when we do this. But I just couldn’t help myself. It was just one of those days.

I promise I’ll try to be better tomorrow.
Say a prayer for me, I don’t want to have to find a new home.

I promised more pic’s---here they are.

DSC01086This is standing looking out over the river. The view can take your breath away. Friendship Hill is the home of Albert Gallatin. And walking around you can almost hear the Indians as they purveyed their land.

DSC01088This is a view of the house (I don’t know for sure why mom calls this a house, it sure is bigger than ours.)

DSC01089The river flowing gently by. It was a slightly cool day, bright and beautiful. Made us glad to have moved to Pennsylvania.

DSC01092Mom wanted a picture of this gazebo. Has started making noises that she’d love to have one in our yard. I am not too sure, where would Annie and I run?

DSC01095The front view of the “house” I wouldn’t want to cut that grass….whew!!!

DSC01097This is what is believed to be Sophie’s grave. She was Albert’s first wife. Legend had it, he loved her very much and when she died, he hid her grave, so that her family wouldn’t come and take her body away from him.

DSC01102This lovely little pond lies behind Sophie’s grave. Mom wouldn’t let dad let us go in, she is such a buzz kill.

DSC01103

This just shows us doing our thing, enjoying a late summer walk.

DSC01105

Big doc and the kids caught up to us, and we all walked a longggggggggggggggggg way. By time we got back to the car, we were parched. So being the good dogs we are, we shared our water all around.

DSC01108
This shows you how tired we were. Poor Einstien couldn’t keep his eyes open, even when he was trying to be cute and get some goodies.

A fun day was had by all. If anyone is around Point Marion, you need to go see, a favorite place of ours. Friendship Hill.

Love, we are going to rest a lot today.

I know it’s been awhile.

DSC01078But we haven’t been doing anything exciting since we got back from the beach. Today was different. We were going to Friendship Hill again. Checking out a new part of it, so off we went.

DSC01079
I am never sure dad knows where he is going. I find it to be my responsibility to help him in any way I can. He loves to talk to mom when he drives, so I figure my keeping an eye on things only helps.

DSC01080I try to make sure he doesn’t go to fast. Watching the speedometer, is just one of my many duties.

DSC01081Can you believe dad told me I can’t take the wheel. I have been paying a lot of attention to what he does, I really think I can do it.

DSC01082Hold on to the wheel, use your turn signal, when you are turning, slow down, when you get too close to another car. See I told you I pay attention.

DSC01085

I guarantee you, I even know the correct way to get to all of our favorite places.  We took lots of pictures at Friendship Hill, we will share them with you tomorrow, you’re gonna love this place. It is super cool.

We met up with big doc and his pack, we all came back to our house after the walk, but boy were we tired. And because of that, I am going to sign off for tonight.
Pleasant dreams my friends,
Love Annie

BUSTED---------------------YIKES

DSC01063So mom had to go to the store first thing this morning. She left before dad and was gone a whole 20 minutes. They forgot to take my bed out of the crate before leaving, so what’s a girl to do? They know that I can’t resist shredding that bed, so is it my fault?

DSC01064
She knows it was me, because when she came home (way sooner than I figured she would) the only one who met her at the door was Quigley. She called to me, and I came running. Out of the craft room.

DSC01066
She was saying that she got us something special, until she saw this stuff. Of course Quigley had to point out everything I did. Silly boy, he didn’t get the rawhides either. You think he’d learn to keep his tattle-telling to himself.

DSC01067

Then he really sucked up, he decided to protect the silly bed from any further damage.

What a guy. See what I have to put up with.

Love, in trouble again, Annie

Not too bright????

DSC00759I’d like to give my side of the story. That little bully, loves to have her own way. I’ve learned to just let her have it, so I don’t have to listen to the whining. Einstein she called me? Well she’s right. I am an Einstein, I know how to handle her and mom. Oh no, I didn’t really say that out loud did I?

DSC00760
Whose the one who gets us cookies, whenever we want them? Me that’s who. I can out wait mom any day and that always ends with her saying “Who wants a cookie?” And does she get to enjoy that too? Of course she does.

So the little missy  will just have to keep her opinions to herself, or else, I’ll just do what mom wants and our cookie days will end. So there.

Love, the one who really has all the answers, Quigley

Let’s face it---he is one good looking guy

DSC01060
But I gotta tell you sometimes he is just not too bright. Take this morning for example. We went on a nice long walk with dad. He takes us every morning and we feel it is a great way to start our day.
DSC01061
But honestly unless he ran us for an hour, we still have lots of energy when we get home. When we get there, we eat, the most important part of morning if you ask us. And then mom in all of her wisdom lets us out in the yard to run the rest of our energy out.

Well she did that this morning too, but you see we had lots of rain last night. That adds up to a really muddy yard. We seem to be hard on grass and stuff. Anyway, we had a great time and got awfully muddy (as dogs and kids would do). This didn’t make mom happy. You see, while dad is walking us, she starts her cleaning. Vacuuming, swiffering, dusting and sometimes like today. Washing the kitchen floor. So when we wanted to come in, with muddy paws, she just wouldn’t have it until our feet were washed. Being the smallest one, I can’t stop it. She can just pick me up and make me bend to her will. But Quig, well that is a different matter. That’s where the smart, but sometime, not so smart come’s in.

DSC01062Quigley saw the bucket, was smart enough to run away. That made mom really mad, so she told him he could live outside today. He didn’t like that idea, but hated having his paws put in that bucket more. So outside he stayed for quite awhile. Figured he’d just go under the deck. But dad booby trapped it with mirrors and he can’t get in. But Einstein thought he saw another dog under his deck and he freaked. The hair on his back was standing straight up.

I couldn’t help but laugh, mom gave in and let him come in, but poor handsome Quigley never figured it out.
You gotta love the big lug, I know I do,

Annie

I think maybe she was wrong…………….

DSC01050
Thinking back to yesterday, I think mom may be wrong. The world may be my oyster. It is a pretty good life I’ve got here. They say I’m bossy, not quite that nicely (sometimes they add a bad word on to that.) But geeze look what I’ve got to work with,

DSC01055I don’t do tricks, at least not the ones they can see. But what I do for their entertainment really should be enough.

DSC01056
Now come on, does this look like I am praying or what? Actually I am hiding my face from the family as I probably just did something I shouldn’t have.

DSC01058And then this angelic look. Peaceful and calm, just what I want them to think.

DSC01059Here I showed them I have teeth, maybe that wasn’t so wise, but look, I’m belly up. Always a good way to show them I’m submissive. Mom says that word a lot, but I have no idea what she is talking about. I am always and forever in control. At least in my own mind. Mom has been separating Quigley and I a lot these day’s. I hate it and so does he, but it does seem to calm us down a bit.

Sometimes I think she may be right, she just may be the one in control.
Have a wonderful Sunday, hope at least your brub treats you with respect….

Love, Annie
