Helping dad to create

 

As most of you know dad loves to paint---, pictures that is. Mom says that he is excellent at it and she is so proud. Anyway, it is really hot again today. So after our walk early this morning, we are all just sitting around. Dad got bored and decided to work on the picture he is doing for Shelli.

As usual, I thought he might need a little help. I wasn’t sure about the stuff he was using, smelled a little off to me, so I had to get a little closer to check it out. It turned out that the paint is just fine, but now I’m going to have to wear it for awhile. Mom keeps saying that sissy and I are nosey. Think this proves it??????

It’s going to be hatefully hot today!!!!!

 

That’s what mom said anyway. She made up her mind that we have to stay in our house all day. Well I know that she’ll let us out to do our business, but no laying in the sun today for Quigley. I figure I’ll just hold onto my dish and nap. At least I’ll know when it’s time to eat.

She keeps talking about fall, I thought maybe she did that again. But no, it must be a place, cause she says walking will be so much more fun. I don’t know about that, cause Quig and I don’t have too much trouble doing it now, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

So go and curl up with your favorite dog bowl, or book or, tv show. Mom says to stay cool and be careful. It’s just wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to hot. She’s preaching at dad already. He’s not allowed to work outside today. And she call’s me bossy.

Dad said I had to tell you

 

We have two cousins in Florida. Well actually we have lots of cousins in Florida, but this is about just two of them. Their names are Therese and Marie, but we call them Tee and Marie. Well I guess they think we are pretty special, cause they like to come and visit us everyday on our story blog. Tee figured something out the other day that she said made her happy. If you click on the little pictures in our stories, they get big. It makes it easier to see how beautiful we are. Mom said I shouldn't say stuff like that, but the truth is the truth.

Tee and Marie don't have any dogs. But they do have cats, so we can be their dogs vicariously. We are going to Florida  in a few months mom said. I know we can't go to their house, but we am hoping maybe we can meet somewhere so we can give them  some BIG FAT KISSES. We are both known for that. We have to wait until it cools off a little before we go south, mom almost had heat stroke yesterday on our walk. Some days are just too hot. Anyway, we wanted to do a shout out to our special cousins, and say, we know we will just love you to death. Have a happy day and stay cool.

We love the 4th of July

This holiday stuff sure works out good. We did a long walk with our four friends and their man. But it wasn't just him,  he brought his niece along, and well ,we fell in love. There was just something about her, we actually swooned.

When we finished our walk, they came back to eat with us. So while they all ate, we stayed in and napped until all of us cooled off. After our rest we decided to have a run outside. Thought you might like to see some of the pictures of our visit.
Here are the pugs and Annie in the yard. I am sure you noticed the new look to our grass. Quigley and I work hard to keep it so close to the ground.




This is Annie showing Gabbie some love. It was hard getting close to her, as Quigley was hogging all of her time.





Once more we caught Monk getting ready for a swim.I tried to warm him they were looking, but boys will be boys and he just wouldn't listen.

It is so cool having lots of dogs in the house. And a new friend (ie pretty girl) doesn’t hurt either. They left, and we are bushed. But they promised to come back soon. I think they are our very best friends.

Happy 4th of July

It's our first, and I hear it is a fun day. We are waiting for Doc to call, and we are all going to go on a walk. So the real story will happen later, with pictures. We just can't wait to see our 4, 4 legged friends. Mom cooked all day yesterday for the holiday. Not that we will get any, but a dog can always hope.

Boring----------------------

Well it’s hot and humid, even for a couple of Mississippi kids. Every once in awhile, Quig will go out and lay in the sun (crazy boy), but other than that we just want to stay in. Oh we still do 2 walks a day, dad does a good job, the morning one is always the longer one, mom only goes in the evening, once more, she hates to walk.

 I know you can’t tell, but I’ve got my fav toy in my mouth. The red ball that lights, I try to entertain myself. I did have a little fun this morning. I made myself invisible, and Quigley couldn’t find me. He went upstairs to see if I was with mom, even went up to our bedroom on the third floor. Started barking (something he doesn’t do much of), after I stopped giggling I went and found him, so he felt better.

 Time for out morning stroll, so talk to you later.

We found a new walking place today.

Well we really didn’t find it, big Doc told mom and dad about it last week. So today we did a road trip to find it. Dad passed the road the first time, but we turned around and all was well.
Once we got to a parking place, mom thought it was way too desolate. Once we actually hit the trail, she changed her mind. It was beautiful.


It is an old railroad trail. They took the tracks up and right there off of Rt. 21 is this most beautiful trail.
As you can see, there are creeks, and waterfalls, well they are mini waterfalls, but the water falls over a rock, so it is what it is called.
The gentle leads kind of got into the way, but dad’s not ready to let us go quite yet.

We took lots of pictures, a video or two, but , dad has to figure the video out, and he is taking a shower right now. When he does his magic, the video will get posted.

The walk is 3/4’s of a mile each way, a really beautiful, and easy walk. Even le momma loved it. (One reason is there was a porta-potty along the way. That always makes her feel better. We don’t quite understand that, we just squat.)
