Look who came to visit.

20140530_143311Oh boy, we were so happy.

Yesterday we heard a car pull up to our house. And as per our job, we ran to the door and barked. We have to keep our mom safe as dad was at work.

And low and behold, when we got to the door, it was Aunt Ria. We couldn’t believe our eyes, we were so happy, we ran round and around until mom threated us. I’m not sure why she resorts to such harsh measures, we are the most perfect of dogs.

Proof is in this picture, a girl reading with a perfect dog laying next to her on the couch.

She left already, and we’re pretty sad about it. I’m not sure why she won’t stay longer, but we appreciate whatever time she’ll give us.

Hope someone wonderful is at your door today, and that they will let you sit next to them on the couch.

Love ya bunches,

Quigley

Mom----Please

20140529_093815Don’t make the bed.

This is where mom and dad sleep. And of course that means us too.

20140529_093842But if we run really fast up to the third floor, after our breakfast and our morning walk with dad. We can get there before she makes the bed,and then we can have our early morning nap there.

20140529_093850Now our early morning nap happens before our mid morning nap and before our second meal  of the day. It’s a hard life we have……

And it’s so much more fun sleeping before the bed is neat and proper.

But to be honest, she has a hard time making us move. Love is a very strong reason for giving in to two little dogs, who love to sleep on a big soft bed.

Hope your beds are soft and no one minds if there not made.

Love, Annie and Quigley

Mom got a new phone…..

20140524_153317And she is learning to take pictures with it. The tough part is getting them from the phone to the computer,so we can use them in our blog.

We hope you’ll have a little patience with her, she’s really sweet, but not too computer literate. At least that is what she says.

So hold on tight, we’re doing the best we can to help her by being really cute.

See you soon, we promise,

Love, Quigley and Annie

Yummy

20140526_160857So mom and dad got a gift. I’m not sure why, they aren’t THAT special.

Anyway------Tee and Marie sent them wonderful picnic food.

We never knew you could eat picnic……..weird huh?

20140526_160910So yesterday being a very special day in our country, they decided to break out the goods and cook on the outside stove. Now the smells were amazing and we were being very patient, and tried to make ourselves really small so dad wouldn’t see us, and maybe, just maybe something would fall to the deck.

20140526_161029No such luck, but he did let us have a look at the plate that had some of the goodies on, and it tasted good, but we have a feeling what they had was way better.

20140526_162123Look at those BIG juicy hot dogs, Okay we need to talk about why they named something they want to eat-- anything dogs……..People, geeze-- go figure.

But anyway, everything was wonderful, they had hot dogs and hamburgers and corn on the cob, as well as a cold broccoli and cauliflower salad.

And us, well we had dog food. I’m not sure that was the way it was suppose to be.

But, we hope you had a wonderful Memorial day and that your food tasted half as good as mom and dad’s did.

Love, the very good and small dogs,

NOT hot dogs,

you should have heard the carrying on………

DSC02961So the other evening, mom was trying to cook. Now I say trying because, it seems dad was in the way.

He had just gotten home from work and when he is away he misses all of us. So he likes to be right in the middle of the chaos. We like it too. We jump and kiss and run around like wild animals (mom’s words, not ours) and that is where the chaos ensues.

So as this is all going on and mom is trying to get her work done, we heard a loud yell. Our mom is so accident prone, (our words, not hers). It seems she walked into dad’s BIG Fat shoe, and she broke her toe. Now the funny thing, at least to us, is dad was still wearing that shoe. How in the heck didn’t she see him?

We got out of there really fast, and decided looking innocent was the way to go.

She’s okay now, a little black toe is kind of cute, don’t you think?

Anyway, wear your shoes even in the house so your little piggy’s stay safe.

Love the innocent,

at least this time,

Annie and Quigley

Who needs mom?

DSC00080When we’ve got Stacy. Oh boy is she easy to love. We were so excited yesterday when someone knocked at the door and it was her and Marley.

She makes us so happy and mom figures if she leaves and we could go with Stacy, we would be just fine.

DSC00081As you can see, we are perfect pillows for her, and as long as she was touching us, we were thrilled. Oh life is so good for a couple of little dogs in Pa.

Hope your day is dry and sunny, not too hot and not too cold. Just right, just like our life was last night.

Love the pillowy (we know that’s not a real word) kids,

Annie and Quigly

The heat has set in---

DSC00078So today was the hottest day since last september. And let me tell you the moaning and groaning from the mother was intense.

But being the good mom that she is, she went with dad and us for a little (and I do mean little) walk this afternoon. The humidity was amazing. You could almost see it, at least that was one of her moans…….

Anyway, we went we walked, we did the things we are suppose to do, at least Quigley did. I on the other hand don’t always like to do my private stuff in public. Remember I’m a lady after all. So okay, we walked, came home and ate. Had to wait for mom to cook and dad to grill, and geeze, did I say it was hot?

So when we finally got to go into the living room, well I seemed to have just passed out. But as you can see, my little piece of joy was with me.

You have to hold onto your stuff---You never know when mom thinks it too small to keep and decides to throw it away. Or that brub of mine, you never know if he is going to decide to keep it for himself.

So here  I am, cute as a button, at the end of a really hot day. Happy, safe and where I am suppose to be. Close to the tall ones, and content.

May your favorite things be no farther away than the tip of your nose.

Love, Annie

Come on------

DSC00068I want to play. Dad you’ve been sitting, working on that flat thing for hours. And I want to play.
DSC00073Can I tempt you ? Please???? I hate getting bored, so re-think your game action, and play with me.
DSC00075Oh never mind, I’ve got a brub and I can bully him into playing with me, and letting me win.
Oh what a day.

So I was thinking…..

DSC00002I should write a book. Oh not a book on living the life of a lucky dog, but a” how to” book.

I know lots of stuff, like how to protect our house, and neighbors and front doors and mail men. Mom says I’m very brave, oh yeah, I protect my brub too.

I know how to let mom know, dad is on his way home. I can tell when the phone rings and it’s him. I can hear his truck at least 5 minutes before he gets home. I just know stuff.

I know when mom puts certain shoes on, that she is going somewhere. I can even tell by her shoes if we are going with her or not. I know when it’s time to eat, by the music on the show’s she watches, I’m just one really smart little girl.

But I also know how to wake mom up in a gentle loving way. Like last night, she said it was about 3 am and I really needed to go out. I only do my business out there, I don’t have a special room in the house like they do. Any way, I really wanted to go out, but everyone was asleep. So I leaned over to mom and touched her head, lightly, and sighed, then I put my head on top of hers and sighed. I repeated the head touching, sighing, the head on head movement, sighing and then licked her face, again, very gently . It worked, she smiled, I can see in the dark too. She got up, encouraged Quigley to come along, cause she knew as soon as we got back into bed if he hadn’t come along, she’d just have to do it all over again.

And out we went. I’m so smart. And lucky for us, we have such a patient mom.

Hope you always get to go out when you need to, and that someone loves you as much as our mom loves us.

The maybe author,

Annie

Oh boy---mom’s in big, big trouble

DSC00028So it seems.

Mom has been doing a very special project for a very special person (‘s) in our lives. So because of that, she has kind of- not, sort of- not, well,-- she hasn’t worked on the posts of ours in a LONG time. I know she promised to do better, but well you know, it’s not always easy to keep promises.

Mom said she is in deep poop. But she said it was it the adult word, you know the one we’re too young to say. Aunt Maria said it wasn’t only deep, but deep, deep,  deep poop. Boy sometimes she just falls into it, you know what we mean?

But as you can see, I  can’t worry about it too much, it’s time to rest.

So forgive her, she means well, but you know she’s not as young as she use to be and sometimes she just messes up,

Have a wonderful evening and try to be patient.

We live with her and we have to be (patient that is) every day.

Love, adorable Quigley and Annie the most impressive
