Can you believe---

DSC02530She, mom that is, blames the fact that it is so hard to make her bed, on us. For some reason she wants to make it look neat and pretty.

DSC02531Us, we just want to cuddle up on it and sleep. See all of the pillows and the soft comforter? What does she expect?

DSC02532I mean really it is like a great big crate.  Nestled back in a little alcove. Soft and safe and we can see if anyone comes up the stairs.

DSC02533This is me, Looking adorable. How can she make me leave this comfy, sweet bed?

Oh well in the end she wins. She always makes us get off and always makes that big sweet bed of ours, I mean theirs………

Hope that your bed is soft and comfy like ours and that you can lay on it anytime you want.

What the heck is going on in this house?

DSC02523If only they’d check with us. We could tell them—don’t change anything. I swear once they start, they just can’t stop. Pulling up rugs that smell wonderful. Full of memories of us and other dogs that lived in our house before us.

DSC02524We just barely finished making it perfect. And what do they do? While tearing up dad’s office they get a new rug for our living room. What were they thinking?

DSC02525Just look at what they did to poor Quigley. The just doesn’t know what to do, where to go, or even more important, how to protect his big, beautiful nose.

Well it went on and on, to calm us they took us for a walk, and then for yesterday they were done. But I have a feeling, it’s not over yet.

DSC02527But for now, as you can see calmness has settled in and even I am content.

But today is another day, and holy dog food, they are gonna start again.

Hope all your rooms stay the same and no one upsets the apple cart.

Love a very anxious, Annie and Quigley

It was a long hard day…..

DSC02521Dad has an office upstairs. It’s full of books and computers and papers and all the stuff he needs .

Well yesterday he decided to clean his room out. Oh boy what a BIG  job that is. He worked and moved furniture, and threw away a ton of stuff.

We’re exhausted.

DSC02522We had to run up and down the stairs a million times. We had to show him where to put the garbage on the back deck. And worry, oh my the worry. There was so much noise and droppings . and he’s not done yet.

So we are figuring it will be another long and noisy day today. This is the calm before the storm. But we’re strong, we’ll do all we have to do to make him a success.

Mom says we are the best dogs. I don’t think he could have done it without our help.

It’s a hard life, but we do it so well.

Love you all, hope your day is easy and bright. And all your offices clean and shiny.

Sitting here waiting.

DSC02496It just doesn’t seem fair. People come and people go. They visit and make us so happy. Then they leave. No one asks me what I want. No one understands just how sad it all is for a little girl like me. Oh yeah I act tough, I act strong, but I have feelings too you know.

So here I sit, waiting for someone special to come back.

Maybe it’s you.

Love the loyal and as you can see, most beautiful,

Annie

You just CAN’T sneak around in this house.

DSC02511So I decided I needed to go bother brub a little bit this afternoon. I was really quiet, moved very slowly, just trying to get past dad. Who normally misses stuff like this when he is busy on the computer.

But today, for some reason, he caught me.

DSC02512I tried looking away, to discourage his interest, but the man just wouldn’t give up. So this fun moment (or what was to be a fun moment) became a non issue.

So I just laid down and went to sleep.

What a party pooper he was.

Hope you get to instigate any fun you want today, and remember if you get caught, just look away…….

Love, I wasn’t doing anything,

Annie

This is what happens

DSC02507The day after. The day after she’s gone. Left us to fend for ourselves. Left us with the mother and dad. Left us with way too much space.

Oh the sadness. Oh the grief. Oh when will she come back again. Auntie M, Auntie M. Please come back soon.

We miss you, Auntie M, we love you. And Quigley says he will try not to kiss your skin off the next time.

But I wouldn’t put money on it.

To all of our friends out there, we hope you’ve got an Auntie M that makes you so joyous.

Love, a tired and sad,

Annie and Quigley

They didn’t tell us…….

DSC02498Oh my goodness. They didn’t tell us that something wonderful was happening today. Aunt Maria came. I just couldn’t control myself. It was amazing. One minute we were alone with mom and then the next--
DSC02499oh jeeze we love this women. I lost my mind. I twirled and spinned. I jumped, I kissed and licked and then I kissed some more. She got a little mad at me when I tried to take her arm in my mouth and take her around. There is a lot she hasn’t seen lately. It’s been so long since she was here last.
Oh they tried, but they couldn’t get me to calm down. It took all day and I was still trying to let her know just how special she is to us.
DSC02506Then Annie had to butt in and make me move. Mom said she had to have equal time with aunt Maria, but I just don’t know why. Just because she is smaller and can get closer without squashing Auntie M, well it’s just not fair.DSC02504
She never stays long enough, or comes often enough, but for today we are thrilled.
We hope your Auntie M’s are always close and will let you lick them as much as you want.
Love a VERY happy Quigley and Annie

If you see these critters, call 1-000-000-000

DSC_1850If you look really closely you can see the critters that are eating our hot peppers.

We are putting out an APB ( all points bulletin) for the unsubs. They are small, brown, furry and incredibly cute. Don’t let that fool you, they have really strong tummy's, as our hot pepper crop has been diminished by more than half. Thanks to these little guys.

Officer Annie and Quigley are on the case. Trouble is, Quigley looses interest quickly and Annie sniffs them out and then just walks past them.

They have been spotted in the back yard.

Any information will be deemed helpful.

Thank you for your help,

Officer’s Annie and Quigley…..

There’s weirdness going on in our house today.

DSC02489First of all the pond drained out. All by itself. Mom is trying to get it refilled as I write.

DSC02490And she’s been telling everyone that some critter is eating her hot peppers. And believe me those are HOT peppers. So today when she went to pick some for when Aunt Maria comes in a few days, low and behold this is what she found.

DSC02495I’m figuring some little bunny or squirrel is  not feeling to good today. But I’m staying out of it, cause sooner or later I’m going to get blamed for it. And look at that face, it’s nothing but innocent.

Hope your gardens are green and not being raided by the dreaded hot pepper rabbit gang.

Love, the innocent,

Quigley

Hey where the heck is Annie?   Oh Noooooooooooo

I’m watching you……

DSC02473And hoping your day is wonderful. Just remember I’m keeping an eye on you to make sure you’re happy.

Love, Quigley, not getting into trouble today. Just looking cute

We’ve been framed.

photo (290)And we love it. Thanks so much for sharing, Therese and Marie.

Now we’re famous……

Love you both,

Quigley and Annie

There is a weirdness going on here.

DSC02480So here we are in what the parents call a weekend. Okay so it seems that they count days and when they get to a certain number it ends. It all sounds a little strange to us, but as always they do things their way. Anyway, we aren’t too crazy about this thing called a weekend.

DSC02482As you can see Annie’s gone belly up again. The reason is, is that during the week (the first days of this time thing they do) dad goes to work and mom is with us almost all the time. We play and get ice cubes, we have chicken with our dog food and chicken water to drink. We nap and watch her craft, that’s when she gets her hands all inky and stuff.

But on this weekend thing, dad is home. And he takes mom away. For what seems forever.

DSC02481They don’t seem to know that when they leave we think it is for, forever. Oh yeah, they give us rawhides before they go, you think we’d learn not to fall for that, but we love rawhides. And then when we’re done, we realize they are gone. It’s a cruel trick and so Annie has pulled out all the stops. Going belly up usually works, but not on this weekend thing.

So if you would, have a little talk with them, tell them, not to go.

A sad and lonely Quigley and Annie

Oh yeah they say they were only gone 3 hours, but we think it was more like 3 years

What a boy’s gotta do,

DSC02468to prove he loves his mom. Here I am patiently waiting for mom to get out of the bathroom. I prefer to wait inside with her, but for some reason, she just doesn’t like that. Go figure.

So I wait with my favorite toy, (next to Annie, she’s actually my favorite toy) with what looks like green eyes. Dad said the reason my eyes look green is that they are so clear. Sounds like a bunch of silly poop to me, but he’s the big one, so that’s our story.

It’s raining here AGAIN, and dad did the fatherly thing and walked us anyway. He’s such a good dad. Oh yeah we forgot to tell you, mom walked us all by herself yesterday. She was a good girl and we didn’t have to correct her once. It looks like we may be able to get a third walk in every once in awhile now. Woot, woot.

Well, I hope your walks are dry, and not to muggy. Your loved ones are never any farther away that a short leash from your heart.

Love, the Patient,

Quigley

Crosby, you’re killing us……

image (5)Do you have to be so cute? And your toy, oh my. It would take Annie and I about 20 seconds to redecorate it. Enjoy and remember, it only needs to look like that for awhile.

Love, Quigley

Hey Crosby, thanks for the email

DSC02475Okay bud, we’re gonna tell you what your dad’s won’t. Oh yeah, they are going to buy you lots of really pretty toys. They’ll spend ton’s of money on them and probably put them into a nice little container.
That is NOT  how they are suppose to look.
DSC02476This is what they look like when they are properly loved. Yup, they end up in bits and pieces, with  long strings and don’t forget the squeaker is the first thing to go.
DSC02479They may try to re-stuff them, but don’t be fooled, you can take it all out again. I’m telling you little buddy, stick with us and we’ll show you the ropes.
Love and torn up toys,
Annie and Quigley

Take this Crosby

DSC02471Okay, maybe we are taking this a little too far, but mom really thinks that Crosby kid is cute. Soooooooooooo we are doing all we can to remind her what cute looks like in this house.

DSC02474What do you think?

I think we are doing okay.

Crosby it’s on……Can’t wait to meet you face to face, or butt to butt whatever works.

Love, the still cute after all these years,

Annie and Quigley

We’re keeping our heads down.

bearSo we decided to remind mom and dad how cute we were when we were Crosby’s age. You can’t let them forget, because that kid is killer cute.
sydneyMom swears they switched Annie out for this dog. How innocent she looks. Hummmmmmmmm what do you think?  Annie says that if you just look at her eyes you can see it’s her, and I swear it is, but what do I know, I can’t remember if they fed me yesterday…..
Anyway this is a remember when, and the truth is, they love us just as much big as little.
Hope your day is bright and filled with wonderful memories. And just remember, big or small, we love you.

We’re a little worried

There's a new kid in town. And darn if he isn't the cutest thing. Mom keeps making those noises. You know the ones, Oh jeez how cute is he, oh my goodness, look how sweet. Well you get the idea.
He's kind of our cousin, but still, look how happy he is making H and Y. Not fair, we haven't seen them since last Christmas and now here he is, cuddling up to them with all of his little cuddly sweetness.
We are gonna have to step it up for a day or two. Put our manners back on and be really good dogs.
Wish us luck, we're gonna need it.
Oh yeah, welcome Crosby, you're one lucky little guy.
Love, it's only a little jealosy,

I guess it’s true.

DSC02377I hear it all the time. So much that I hardly even notice these days. But I guess it’s true. I’m a pretty girl.

We went walking at our favorite park last night and we met 3 pretty people. One bigger person, (you know, like mom and dad) and 2 smaller ones.

I don’t know why, but well I decided I really liked them. Usually I am a little standoffish with strangers. But not yesterday, they were special in some way. And I walked right up to them and gave them a sniff. And then a little kiss and I even let them pet me. Even the smallest of the girls. Mom was so proud. I got an extra treat for that when we got home.

Anyway it’s not because they kept saying how pretty I am, but they said it and I think it’s probably true. It’s because I’m a nice little girl too……and as mom says, humble. (I have no idea what that means)

Hope your day is filled with lots of people seeing how beautiful you all are. All they will have to do is look inside of your hearts.

Love, the shy, humble, not pushy (okay, now I’m pushing it),

Annie

How do you do little bug?

DSC_1825We have lots of critters in our back yard. Bunnies, voles (mom says they are nothing more than mice with a different name) squirrels, chip monks, fish and the random cat.  Lots of pretty birds, red one’s and blue one’s. Dove’s and pigeons. It’s a cornucopia of sounds and sights.

But last night there was something strange and REALLY loud outside of our back door. I have to admit, I didn’t want to go out after hearing all those new and strange sounds. Mom and dad said it was safe that they were cicada’s . (Whatever that is) And that they come around every 7 years or so and they wouldn’t hurt us. I’ll take their word for it, but I’ll probably have to be told again by time they come back. I’ll be a big boy by then and I’m sure they won’t upset me as much. But, sissy may still be afraid, so I’ll take care of her then.

Hope your evenings are quiet and your yards are green.

Loving you with a bow and a smile,

Quigley
